About

Coy Pemberton is a Mental Health Counselor who is also 20-year Army Infantry Veteran, with 4 years active duty and over 16 in the Army Reserve, and who continues to serve in the Army Reserve as a Drill Sergeant. He holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling & Primary Care Psychology from The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP) and is currently providing family and individual therapy across Southern Massachusetts with a primary work area of New Bedford and surrounding towns. While attaining his MA, he also participated in the Train Vets to Treat Vets program and has worked to improve engagement and treatment for Veterans struggling with mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and post-deployment reintegration.

Coy is an avid outdoorsman and has completed 2 full marathons, a 50-mile charity cycle race, and has hiked over 1000 miles of the Appalachian Trail, and brings this passion to his practice utilizing both traditional counseling techniques in addition to health and wellness focused interventions.
